Carlson, Kadri lead way with six points as the Knights flatten Oshawa 6-1 @NHLdotcom

LONDON, Ont. - John Carlson scored twice and Nazem Kadri added four assists to lead the London Knights to a 6-1 thrashing of the Oshawa Generals on Friday night in the Ontario Hockey League.

Jason Wilson, Leigh Salters, Philip McRae and Justin Taylor also scored for the Knights (31-8-0-1), who aquired John Tavares from Oshawa in a twelve-player deal on Thursday. The star forward won't make his debut for London until Sunday against the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors.

Tavares' absence was felt by the Generals (18-17-1-4), who only managed five shots in the first period and eight in the third. Brett Parnham scored the lone goal for Oshawa.

Michael Del Zotto, another player dealt to the Knights in the Tavares deal, had two assists in his debut for London.

Trevor Cann made 32 saves for the Knights, while Generals netminder Neil Conway stopped 43 shots.
