Caria scores twice as the Greyhounds win series against Guelph

SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. - Matt Caria netted a pair of goals to lead the Greyhounds over the Guelph Storm 4-1, as Sault Ste. Marie clinched the Western Conference semifinal.

Wayne Simmonds and Brandon MacLean also scored for the Greyhounds, while Dustin Jeffrey and Jacob Muzzin chipped in with two assists each.

Matt Kennedy opened the scoring in the first period for the Storm.

Kyle Gajewski gets the win stopping 27 shots for Sault Ste. Marie, which finished the series 4-1. Thomas McCollum made 21 saves for Guelph.

Sault Ste. Marie now faces top-ranked Kitchener in the Conference final.
