Carbonneau to coach Canada U-18 team @NHLdotcom
Former Montreal Canadiens coach Guy Carbonneau has been named coach for Canada's entry at the IIHF World Under-18 Championship.

The tournament will be held from April 13-13, in Minsk and Bobruisk, Belarus.

Canada finished fourth at least year's tournament, in Fargo, N.D., and Moorhead, Minn., which was won by the U.S. They last won the gold in 2008.

Assisting Carbonneau will be George Burnett, coach/GM of the Ontario Hockey League's Belleville Bulls, and Rob Sumner, coach of the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds.

Canada will open the tournament April 13 against Switzerland, and also plays Belarus, Sweden and the U.S. in preliminary-round play.
