Caputi scores twice, Loverock stops 29 shots as Niagara beats Sudbury 5-2 @NHLdotcom

SUDBURY, Ont. - Luca Caputi had a pair of goals, one coming on a third-period penalty shot, while Andrew Loverock made 29 saves as the Niagara IceDogs breezed past the Sudbury Wolves 5-2 Friday in the OHL.

Caputi added an empty-netter as the IceDogs (7-2-0-0) sent the Wolves (1-7-0-0) to their second straight loss. Alex Pietrangelo, Barry Sanderson and Jordan Foreman also scored for Niagara.

J.K. Gill and Kevin Baker scored for Sudbury, while Sebastien Dahm made 35 saves in a losing cause.
