Wilson of Capitals suspended four games for boarding
Forward eligible to return against Devils on Oct. 13

NEW YORK -- Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson has been suspended for four games, without pay, for boarding St. Louis Blues forward Sammy Blais during NHL Preseason Game No. 109 in St. Louis on Sunday, Oct. 1, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 17:39 of the second period. Wilson was assessed a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct.
Wilson is considered a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, will forfeit $97,560.96. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
