Tom Wilson has an in-person hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Wednesday.

The Washington Capitals forward is facing discipline for his hit on St. Louis Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist in a preseason game Sunday.

The incident occurred at 5:22 of the second period during Washington's 5-2 win at Capital One Arena. Wilson was given a match penalty.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: illegal check to the head. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
