NEW YORK -- Washington Capitals center Eric Fehr might be able to play in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Second Round against the New York Rangers on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden (7:30 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports), coach Barry Trotz said.
Fehr, who has been skating with the team, has not played since he sustained an upper-body injury early in Game 3 against the New York Islanders.
"There is a possibility, but I have to talk to him first," Trotz said.
Fehr was evasive when he was asked about his status for Game 7.
"I'm not saying I'm out, but I'm not saying I'm in," he said. "I wish I could tell you. I'm literally day-to-day, literally day-to-day. I don't know the future, I'm just trying to get better and be ready. That's all I can tell you guys."
