Capitals, Blues swap left wings @NHLdotcom
The Washington Capitals acquired left wing D.J. King from the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday in exchange for left wing Stefan Della Rovere.

King, 26, was held scoreless in 12 NHL games this past season. A sixth-round pick of the Blues in the 2002 Entry Draft, he has career totals of 4 goals, 9 points and 185 penalty minutes in 101 games with the club over parts of four seasons. King played in a career-high 61 games in 2007-08 and finished with 3 goals, 6 points and 100 penalty minutes.

Della Rovere, 20, was a seventh-round pick of the Capitals in the 2008 Entry Draft. He spent most of the past four seasons playing for the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League, putting up 65 goals and 138 points in 230 games. Della Rovere also appeared in two playoff games last season for the Hershey Bears, the Capitals' AHL affiliate, going scoreless.
