The Vancouver Canucks on Friday signed free-agent center Brad Richardson, who had spent the previous five seasons with the Los Angeles Kings. Terms of the deal were not released, but TSN is reporting the contract is $1.15 million for two years.
Richardson, 28, had one goal and five assists in 16 regular-season games with the Kings in 2012-13, and had one assist in 11 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
Originally drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the fifth round of the 2003 NHL Draft, Richardson has 43 goals and 105 points in 391 games with the Avalanche and Kings
TSN also reported the Canucks signed defenseman Yannick Weber to a one-year, $650,000 contract. The 24-year-old blueliner had two points in six games with the Montreal Canadiens in 2012-13.
