VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -The Vancouver Canucks signed free agent goalie Curtis Sanford and goalie Cory Schneider, their 2004 first-round draft pick, on Tuesday.
Vancouver also added free agent forwards Byron Ritchie and Brad Isbister, and re-signed defenseman Lukas Krajicek.
Sanford, who spent last season in St. Louis, signed for one-year at $600,000 to play behind All-Star Roberto Luongo.
Sanford was 8-12-5 with a 3.18 goals-against average and .881 save percentage in 31 games with the Blues. He fills a void created when last season's backup, Dany Sabourin, signed with Pittsburgh earlier in the week.
Schneider inked a three-year deal, choosing the Canucks over his senior season at Boston College. He led the Eagles to the last two NCAA championship games after being drafted 26th overall in '04
Ritchie spent last season with division-rival Calgary, where he had eight goals, 14 points and 68 penalty minutes in 64 games.
Isbister, a nine-year veteran, spent most of last season in the American Hockey League, but had one goal and four assists in 19 games with the New York Rangers.
Terms of Isbister s and Ritchie s deals were not disclosed, but Krajicek signed a two-year deal worth $2.2-million as a restricted free agent after making $625,000 last season.
Acquired from Florida as part of last summer's trade for Luongo, the 24-year-old Krajicek set career highs with three goals, 16 points and 78 games.
The Canucks also signed minor league forwards Brad Moran, Greg Classen and Jason Jaffray.
