Pettersson out for Canucks against Maple Leafs with injury

Center left morning skate; Michaelis makes NHL debut

VANCOUVER-- Elias Pettersson is not playing for the Vancouver Canucks against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday because of an undisclosed injury.

Pettersson, who has 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) in 26 games, left the morning skate early and didn't take part in warmups.
J.T. Miller moved from his usual left wing spot on the top line to play center, with rookie Nils Hoglander at left wing and Brock Boeser on right wing.
Forward Marc Michaelis, an undrafted free agent signed March 19, 2020 after four years at Minnesota State University Mankato, made his NHL debut after being promoted from the taxi squad.
