VANCOUVER - Goaltender Roberto Luongo left the Vancouver Canucks game against the Winnipeg Jets with an unspecified injury Sunday night.
Luongo left the ice with 3:30 remaining in the first period and headed toward the Vancouver dressing room. Earlier in the period he was knocked to the ice in a goal-mouth collision with Winnipeg's Blake Wheeler. Luongo, who had made six saves, was replaced by Eddie Lack.
Luongo did not return for the start of the second period and wasn't on the Canucks bench.
Luongo was a member of Canada's gold-medal winning team at the 2010 Winter Olympics. He is one of the goaltenders being discussed to play for Canada at the 2014 Sochi Games. Luongo has a 16-9-6 record this year.
