Canucks call up centers from AHL @NHLdotcom

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -The Vancouver Canucks recalled centers Brad Moran and Brandon Reid from the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League on Friday.

Already missing center Ryan Kesler for at least the rest of the regular season after recent hip surgery, the Canucks also expect forward Jan Bulis to miss their game Saturday against Atlanta with a bruised shoulder.

Moran is a 27-year-old center who has one goal and one assist in five NHL games with Columbus. He was Manitoba's leading scorer with 52 points in 45 games this season.

Reid had 26 points in 41 games with the Moose this year. The 25-year-old center has six points in 10 career games with the Canucks.

The Canucks also sent Rick Rypien, a cousin of ex-NFL quarterback Mark Rypien, down to Manitoba to get some game action as he continues to recover from a groin injury.
