Canucks acquire D Nathan Paetsch from Panthers @NHLdotcom

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) - The Vancouver Canucks have acquired defenseman Nathan Paetsch from the Florida Panthers for minor-league defender Sean Zimmerman. This is the second trade between the teams in two days.

Paetsch split last season between Columbus and Buffalo. He has 42 points in 167 NHL games. The 23-year-old Zimmerman has yet to play an NHL game. He has spent most of his three seasons in the American Hockey League.

Thursday's trade comes a day after Darcy Hordichuk was sent to Florida for fellow enforcer Andrew Peters. The teams also combined on a five-player deal at this summer's draft, with defenseman Keith Ballard going to Vancouver.
