MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens will go back to goaltender Carey Price in an effort to end their five-game losing run.

Coach and general manager Bob Gainey will start Price in net against the visiting Atlanta Thrashers on Tuesday night.

Neither Price nor Jaroslav Halak has been consistently strong of late. Halak came on in relief of Price in a second period of a 5-4 loss in Ottawa last Thursday, but then allowed at least two soft goals in a 5-2 loss to Toronto on Saturday night.

Price is 20-14-8 this season but has only two wins since the beginning of February.

He was in the net for Montreal's last two wins, however - 3-1 over Dallas on March 8 and 4-3 over Edmonton on March 10, which was the first game coached by Gainey after he fired Guy Carbonneau.

The team has not won since then and barely hanging onto the eighth and final playoff spot in the NHL's Eastern Conference.
