Canadiens' Price stops 31 in win vs. Blackhawks

Carey Price made 31 saves to help the Montreal Canadiens to a 3-1 preseason win against the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center.

The game was scoreless through two periods, but Rene Bourque and Nathan Beaulieu scored 1:54 apart early in the third for Montreal. The Canadiens were outshot 14-5 in the second.

Canadiens left wing Michael Bournival scored an empty-net goal at 19:01.

Andrew Shaw broke Price's shutout with 5:53 remaining. Antti Raanta stopped 16 of 18 shots for Chicago.

The Blackhawks went 0-for-4 on the power play and are 0-for-17 this preseason.
