Canadian junior tournament to play three warmup games ahead of worlds @NHL

OTTAWA - The Canadian national junior team will play exhibition games in Toronto, Mississauga, Ont., and Hamilton ahead of the start of the world junior hockey championship in Ottawa.

Nine different Ontario cities will host 10 games featuring 10 teams in the Dec. 25-Jan. 5 event, organizers announced Tuesday.

Canada will take on Sweden in Toronto on Dec. 19, Finland in Mississauga on Dec. 21 and Slovakia in Hamilton on Dec. 23.

Other cities to host games include Kingston, Kitchener, Oshawa, Brockville, Barrie and Brampton.

Hockey Canada will hold a selection camp for the national team in Ottawa from Dec. 11-15. The final roster will then move its camp and daily practices to CFB (Canadian Forces Base) Petawawa before playing its exhibition games.
