Cameron scores winner as Barrie Colts stop Brampton Battalion 2-1 @NHLdotcom

BRAMPTON, Ont. - Bryan Cameron was the difference maker in his hometown.

Cameron's league-leading 46th goal was the eventual winner and paced the Barrie Colts to a 2-1 victory over the Brampton Battalion in Ontario Hockey League play Sunday afternoon.

Alex Hutchings had the other goal for Barrie (48-8-2).

Cody Hodgson was the lone scorer for Brampton (21-25-13).

After a scoreless opening frame, Hutchings gave Barrie the lead with a short-handed effort at 8:35 of the middle period.

Cody tied the game :35 later on the same power play.

Cameron put his team ahead for good, converting a Luke Pither pass from the slot to beat Patrick Killeen.

Killeen made 20 saves for the Battalion, while Mavric Parks held the fort for Barrie, turning aside 34 of 35 shots.
