Calgary's Sonne named WHL player of week @NHL

CALGARY - Calgary Hitmen forward Brett Sonne was named Western Hockey League player of the week Monday.

He had eight points (5-3) in four games last week. The WHL also nominated Chet Pickard of the Tri-City Americans for the CHL goaltender of the week award.

He posted a 3-0-0-0 record last week with a shutout. Pickard recorded a 0.67 goals-against average and .976 save percentage.


Rampage goalie Tordjman named AHL player of the week

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - San Antonio Rampage goaltender Josh Tordjman was named American Hockey League player of the week Monday.

He had two shutouts and won all three of his starts last week.
