KAMLOOPS, B.C. - Goaltender Kurtis Mucha of the Kamloops Blazers set a Canadian Hockey League record for career games played Saturday but he could not stop the Calgary Hitmen.

Mucha turned aside 25 shots but was beaten four times as Calgary (43-17-2) skated to a 4-1 win in Western Hockey League play.

The game was the 240th of Mucha's career, breaking the CHL record that had been held by Ryan Mior, who played with the QMJHL's P.E.I. Rocket and Gatineau Olympiques (2003-08).

Giffen Nyren, Cody Sylvester, Kris Foucault and Tyler Fiddler scored for the Hitmen.

Chase Schaber scored twice for Kamloops (28-30-6) and Brendan Ranford tallied.

Calgary goaltender Michael Snider stopped 17 shots.
