CALGARY (CP) - The Calgary Flames have added some help on the blue-line.
The Flames signed defenceman Cory Sarich to a five-year contract worth 18 million U.S.
Sarich spent the past seven seasons with Tampa Bay, where he won the Stanley Cup in 2004.
The 28-year-old from Saskatoon appeared in every game for the Lightning for the past four years.
Originally a draft pick of the Buffalo Sabres, Sarich has played 536 NHL games.
