Makar golf classic

Cale Makar is hitting the golf course to pass the time until his day with the Stanley Cup this summer.

The Conn Smythe Trophy winner is participating in the Shaw Charity Classic, a pro-am PGA Tour Champions event held at Canyon Meadows & Country club in Calgary this week.
Makar teed up with professional golfer Paul Goydos for the tournament.
Goydos joked with Makar about the fanfare around him at the event in a video posted by the PGA Tour Champions Twitter account.
"This guy seems like … are you famous?" Goydos said.
"No … I paid these people to follow me around actually," Makar joked.

Later in the video, Makar explained to Goydos about what players do on their day with the Cup. The Colorado Avalanche defenseman's day with the Cup is Aug. 11 in Calgary, where he was born and raised.
Makar will have plenty of time to get more golf rounds in until then.
