C.J. Stretch scores lone goal of shootout as Kamloops edges Vancouver 4-3

KAMLOOPS, B.C. - C.J. Stretch scored the lone goal of the shootout to give the Kamloops Blazers a 4-3 WHL victory over the Vancouver Giants on Wednesday night.

After the first five shooters all missed, Stretch beat goaltender Jamie Tucker with a shot to the glove side. Shayne Wiebe, Dalibor Bortnak and Michal Siska also scored for the Blazers (2-0-0-1). James Wright, Evander Kane and Casey Pierro-Zabotel counted for the Giants (1-0-0-1).

Kamloops goaltender Jon Groenheyde made 30 saves, while Vancouver's Jamie Tucker turned aside 20 shots.
