Capitals, Kuznetsov join Big Hat trend after Commanders' Robinson

The cultural lexicon is familiar with some big things: the Big Dipper, the Big Ten, the Big Show and even the Big Salad.
Now it's time for the Big Hat to have it's moment.

It started on Sunday where Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson had a career game, then wore a Big Hat while he was presented with the game ball by his coach, Ron Rivera. Robinson told reporters afterward that he was promoting his friend's business, a big hat company.
That -- and the photos from the Commanders locker room -- was all it took for the Big Hat to takeoff.

Monday Big Hats were everywhere, including on the head of Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov.

The Commanders were delighted and shared their thoughts on social media.

It's not the first Big Hat in history and, as we know now, it certainly won't be the last.
