BOS@TBL: Bergeron's 1,000th point on Marchand goal

You're not going to slip a career milestone past Brad Marchand, no way.

Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron picked up his 1,000th NHL point with an assist on a Marchand goal Monday against the Tampa Bay Lightning, and

After the goal, Marchand pointed right at Bergeron and led the charge, mobbing him on the ice and causing a pileup in the corner in recognition of the feat.

With the point, Bergeron becomes the 9th active player to reach the 1,000-point plateau. He joins Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin, Los Angeles Kings captain Anze Kopitar, Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane, Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin, Florida Panthers forward Eric Staal and Washington Capitals forward Nicklas Backstrom.
The Bruins had a video ready to go featuring all of them sharing their congratulations.

Afterward, the Bruins shared a symbolic picture of Bergeron and Marchand hugging.

When you are teammates for as long as that pair, you just know right away.
