Igor Shesterkin is used to having his New York Rangers teammates' back, but on Tuesday, they had his.

The Rangers goalie received special congratulatory video messages from his teammates after he won the Vezina Trophy, given to the best goalie of the season, at the 2022 NHL Awards on Tuesday.
"Congrats Shesty. A very well-deserved honor," defenseman Adam Fox said in the video posted to the Rangers Twitter account. "You're the backbone of our team and I'm sure this won't be your last Vezina."
Most of the Rangers thanked Shesterkin for having their backs all season and told the goalie they were proud of him. Artemi Panarin kept his video message light and funny.
"Congrats buddy. Keep it going. You deserve it," Panarin said. "Thanks for my blocked shots too, right?"

Shesterkin sent love to the fans after his win.
"I'm so excited. It's a great night for me and I hope it's a great night for New York," Shesterkin said. "Thank you so much, Rangers fans. I love you so much. See you soon."
