MacEwen suspended one game for kneeing

NEW YORK--Vancouver Canucks forward Zack MacEwen has been suspended for one game, without pay, for kneeing Edmonton Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse during NHL Game No. 593 in Edmonton on Thursday, May 6, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 10:57 of the second period. Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, MacEwen will forfeit $7,112.07. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
