The defenseman has missed seven games with a hamstring injury sustained against the San Jose Sharks on Feb. 4. Treliving said Giordano has been skating on his own and making progress.
The Flames host the Boston Bruins on Friday (9 p.m. ET; ESPN+, SN1, SNE, SNO, SNP, NESN, NHL.TV) and then begin their trip at the Detroit Red Wings on Sunday. Calgary plays at the Boston Bruins on Tuesday, the Nashville Predators on Feb. 27, the Tampa Bay Lightning on Feb. 29 and the Florida Panthers on March 1.
"You wouldn't bring him unless there's a possibility of him playing," Treliving said of the Flames captain. "As far as treatment, he's going to get treatment on the road. … I'm not trying to be cute with timelines, you just don't know. You're certainly moving in the right direction.
"The fact that he's been on the ice the last two days and pushing hard is a good sign. We'll see where he gets to tomorrow and see where he's at tomorrow, not playing but seeing how he feels after two skates and take it day by day."
