Hurricanes Wedding

When Robert England proposed to his now-wife Lisa, he had an idea where the couple would tie the knot.

The Englands lived out Robert's plan Saturday when they were married in front of friends and family at PNC Arena before the Carolina Hurricanes faced off against the Philadelphia Flyers.

"I'm tickled to death to be actually doing this," Lisa England told Fox Sports Carolinas. "It was fantastic; we had a blast."
Robert has been a fan since the team moved to Raleigh in 1997, and he introduced the team to Lisa when they began dating a few years ago. When the time came to get married, Robert pitched the hockey wedding.
"When I proposed to her, I said what do you think about getting married on the ice at the arena?" Robert England told Fox Sports Carolinas. "And she was like 'let's do it!'"
The ceremony was attended by the couple's friends and family, many of whom were clad in Hurricanes jerseys. The bride felt everything went off without a hitch even though the Hurricanes lost to the Flyers 4-2.
"Everything went perfect, went smooth." she said. "And I didn't fall, which was even better."
