Burakovsky's goal helps Capitals defeat Islanders @NHLdotcom

Andre Burakovsky's power-play goal at 7:39 of the third period proved to be the game-winner in the Washington Capitals' 3-1 victory against the New York Islanders at Barclays Center on Monday.

Sean Collins scored at 2:48 of the second period, and Karl Alzner sealed the win for Washington at 19:03 of the third.

Capitals goalie Philipp Grubauer started and made 13 saves. Justin Peters relieved him midway through the game and made 10 saves on 11 shots.

Kirill Petrov scored for the Islanders at 18:09 of the third period.

Thomas Greiss allowed two goals on 24 shots.
