Bulls sweep Colts with 3-2 win and advance to OHL East final @NHLdotcom

The Belleville Bulls are through to the Ontario Hockey League Eastern Conference final.

P.K. Subban scored the game-winning goal Tuesday as the Bulls beat the Barrie Colts 3-2 and swept the best-of-seven second-round series. Belleville overcame a 2-0 deficit with three straight power-play goals.

Bryan Cameron and Andrew Self also scored for Belleville.

Elsewhere in OHL playoff action it was: Sault Ste. Marie 3 Guelph 2; Kitchener 6 Sarnia 2; and Oshawa 6 Niagara 4.

At Barrie, Ont., Ryan Berard and Tyson Aitcheson replied for the Colts.

Mike Murphy stopped 20 shots for Belleville, while Michael Hutchinson made 45 saves for Barrie.

Greyhounds 3 Storm 2

At Guelph, Ont., Andrew Campbell scored the winning goal with less than four minutes left in regulation and Sault Ste. Marie took a 3-1 series lead over the Storm.


Rangers 6 Sting 2

At Kitchener, Ont., Matt Halischuk scored two goals and an assist to give the Rangers a commanding 3-0 Western Conference semifinal lead over Sarnia.


Generals 6 IceDogs 4

At St. Catharines, Ont., Brett MacLean and Kory Nagy scored two goals each as Oshawa took a 3-1 series lead over Niagara.
