Bulls jump ahead in Eastern Conference quarter-final with 4-1 win over Petes @NHLdotcom

BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Belleville scored three goals in the first period then cruised to 4-1 win over the Peterborough Petes on Wednesday, giving the Bulls a 1-0 advantage in the OHL Eastern Conference quarter-final matchup.

Andrew Self, Stephen Johnston and Nigel Williams each scored in the first period to put the Bulls up 3-0. Branislav Rehus cut the lead to 3-1 when he netted a power-play marker in the second period. Belleville's P.K. Subban scored into an empty net in the final second to complete the scoring.

Mike Murphy made 25 saves for the Bulls, while Trevor Cann stopped 29 for the Petes.
