Bulls bounce Petes from Ontario Hockey League playoffs with 7-1 win @NHLdotcom

BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Stephen Johnston scored twice as the Belleville Bulls emphatically bounced the Peterborough Petes from the Ontario Hockey League playoffs with a 7-1 win Tuesday.

The Bulls, the top seed in the OHL's Eastern Conference, won the first-round series 4-1.

Matthew Tipoff, Jan Mursak, Andrew Self, Nigel Williams and Bryan Cameron also scored for the Bulls.

Peterborough's Yves Bastien scored the first goal of the game before the Belleville offence opened the floodgates.

Mike Murphy made 31 saves for the Bulls. Trevor Cann stopped 24 shots for the Petes.
