Bulldogs recover from blown third-period lead to down Wolves 3-2 in shootout @NHL

ROSEMONT, Ill. - Shawn Belle and P.K. Subban scored in the shootout as the Hamilton Bulldogs edged the Chicago Wolves 3-2 Saturday night to extend their lead atop the American Hockey League's Western Conference.

The Bulldogs carried a two-goal lead into the third period but Chicago tied the game on goals from Brett Sterling and Nathan Oystrick.

Ryan Russell and Andre Benoit scored in regulation for Hamilton (30-12-7), while Cedrick Desjardins made 34 saves and stopped four of five Wolves attempts in the shootout.

Anthony Stewart had the lone shootout goal for Chicago (28-17-3), which saw its three-game winning streak come to an end. Netminder Kari Lehtonen stopped 24 shots.

Hamilton sits second overall in the AHL with 67 points, trailing only the Hershey Bears, who have 74.
