Sam Reinhart,
Nicholas Baptiste
, Kyle Okposo and Johan Larsson scored for the Sabres (14-26-9), who have won three straight for the first time this season.

"We'll get three, four days here to think about why we were successful," said Lehner, who has three shutouts this season and eight in his NHL career. "We really got to reflect and understand why we are getting these results.
"This was no fluke, we let in one goal in three games on this road trip. That is quite a big thing for us, and maybe we just have to start really analyzing why we are getting these results because it's very fun playing. We got to start building something here for the rest of the season to start getting out identity and our culture together. It's very important for us."
Jacob Markstrom made 22 saves for the Canucks (19-24-6), who were shut out for the second time in the past three games and have lost three of their past four (1-3-0).
"This is a problem, we play a good game and get a big win at home and then we're happy," Markstrom said. "I don't know if the guys get loose or too relaxed and think we're a great hockey team that can go half-speed, and it includes myself. I need to come up with two good games in a row and bail my teammates out. It's tough. It's very frustrating."
Reinhart made it 1-0 on a rebound 4:27 into the first period after Scott Wilson skated out from behind the net and shot from the bottom of the right face-off circle.
"It seemed from that point on we were pretty in control," Sabres coach Phil Housley said. "We didn't give them too much defensively, we were really tight to our net, we tried to protect Robin as best we could and when we needed a save, Robin was big tonight."

Lehner's best save came at 18:21 of the second period when he got his glove on a Markus Granlund shot from the left slot.
Baptiste, playing in his second game since being recalled from Rochester of the American Hockey League on Jan. 19, scored his first goal of the season on a breakaway at 12:49 of the second period to make it 2-0.
Canucks forward Jake Virtanen made a drop pass at the Sabres blue line that center Evan Rodrigues intercepted before passing ahead to Benoit Pouliot, who sent Baptiste in alone for a deke and a shot that beat Markstrom through the five-hole.
Okposo made it 3-0 with a power-play goal with 3:23 left in the third period, and Larsson scored a shorthanded empty-net goal with 2:20 remaining to make it 4-0.

They said it

"Yeah, they had a push but it wasn't anything dangerous. We were five guys in the middle of our zone working together, and they got a few shots and a couple of good chances, which is going to happen, but it's easy to read when it's static plays like that." -- Sabres goaltender Robin Lehner
"It's disheartening. We're not a good enough team to play 45 minutes and I'm pretty sure our players know that. We have talked about it. We definitely had a letdown after a big emotional win our last game and I'm not happy about it." -- Canucks coach Travis Green
