Larsson to have hearing with Player Safety for actions in Sabres game

Forward faces discipline from NHL for cross-checking Panthers center Trocheck

Buffalo Sabres forward Johan Larsson will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Friday for a hit against Florida Panthers forward Vincent Trocheck.

The incident occurred at 19:25 of the third period at KeyBank Center on Thursday. Larsson received a minor penalty for cross-checking and a match penalty.

The Panthers won 4-2.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: cross-checking However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
