Mark Jankowski
signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday.

The forward was an unrestricted free agent after being released from a professional tryout contract (PTO) by the New Jersey Devils on Oct. 8.
Jankowski scored 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in 45 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins last season.
A first-round pick (No. 21) in the 2012 NHL Draft by the Calgary Flames, Jankowski has scored 75 points (40 goals, 35 assists) in 253 NHL regular-season games and zero points in 10 Stanley Cup Playoff games.
Arttu Ruotsalainen was assigned to Rochester of the American Hockey League by the Sabres on Sunday. The forward has scored four points (two goals, two assists) in 16 games this season.
The Sabres host the Seattle Kraken on Monday (7 p.m. ET; MSG-B, ROOT-NW, ESPN+, NHL LIVE).
