CALGARY - Jimm Bubnick scored twice, earning first star of the game, as the Calgary Hitmen edged the visiting Edmonton Oil Kings 4-3 on Sunday afternoon in Western Hockey League action.
Cody Sylvester scored the game-winning goal in the third period and added an assist for the Hitmen (24-16-3), who have won a season-high seven straight games. Calder Brooks also scored and Spencer Humphries chipped in with two assists.
Tyler Maxwell, Mitchell Moroz and Curtis Lazar scored for the Oil Kings (29-11-5).
Brandon Glover made 25 saves to record the win while Tristan Jarry stopped 34 shots in defeat.
Calgary went 1 for 3 on the power play while Edmonton scored once on four opportunities with the man advantage.
The Oil Kings had won the three previous games this season between the teams, all at Edmonton?s Rexall Place, by a combined score of 14-4.
