THIS WEEK'S NEWS, NOTES AND NUMBERS…
STAT OF THE WEEK:The Bruins rank second in the league this season in penalty kill percentage at 84.0% (142 of 169) while being tied for seventh in shorthanded goals (7). Over their past 10 games, they have posted a penalty kill percentage of 88.5% (23 of 26) and have scored three shorthanded goals, ranking them second in both categories during that span.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK:"If we can sustain that [defensive play] for 60 minutes every night, we're going to be a really good team. We're going to be hard to play against, and that's kind of where we were when we put that big streak together. Continue to get back to that game and we'll be good." -Brad Marchand following game on Feb. 19 vs. Flames
TWEET OF THE WEEK (WEEK 24):@GlobeKPD (Kevin Dupont, Boston Globe): Bruins 1 of only 3 teams this year to win after entering third period behind 2 goals. That's 3 wins in 210 situations - a 1.43 pct chance of winning.

HONORABLE MENTION:@MattKalman (Matt Kalman, NHL.com): Those who discount McQuaid's value to #NHLBruins - 1-goal lead with 44 seconds left & Cassidy trusts Marchand, Bergeron, Chara & MCQUAID to kill 6-on-4 for W at Edmonton.
