END-OF-SEASON PRESS CONFERENCE:Bruins Owner Jeremy Jacobs, CEO Charlie Jacobs and President Cam Neely will conduct their annual end-of-season press conference in Legends on Level 3 of TD Garden on Tuesday, May 2, beginning at 10 a.m.

THIS WEEK'S NEWS, NOTES AND NUMBERS…
STAT OF THE WEEK: Bruce Cassidy was named the 28th head coach of the Boston Bruins on Wednesday, April 26. Since Cassidy assumed head coaching responsibilities on February 9, the Bruins ranked first in the NHL in goals per game (3.37), first in the NHL in fewest shots allowed (741), tied for second in the NHL in wins (18), tied for second in the NHL in power play percentage (27.8%), tied for third in the NHL in fewest goals allowed per game (2.30), tied for fifth in the NHL in faceoff percentage (53.6%) and tied for sixth in the NHL in takeaways (229).
QUOTE OF THE WEEK:"The core group, the veteran leadership, they gave me an opportunity to go in and earn their respect, and they bought into what we were selling for the most part. Not for the most part, 100 percent. 100 percent, the veteran guys, they afforded me that opportunity and I can't thank them enough. We've got some Stanley Cup champions in that room and it showed with high character players and I was very thankful for that. From there, we're trying to build something together now. That's the process going forward." - Head Coach Bruce Cassidy on his experience coaching this past season and looking forward to next season.
