week ahead

THIS WEEK'S NEWS, NOTES AND NUMBERS…
STAT OF THE WEEK:With his two goals in Thursday night's 4-3 win against Pittsburgh, 2017 All-Star Brad Marchandreached the 20-goal mark for the sixth time in his career. He joins teammate David Pastrnakas the Bruins' first two 20-goal scorers this season. The Bruins are one of just four NHL teams with two 20-goal scorers this year (Pittsburgh - Crosby, Malkin; Toronto - Matthews, Kadri; Winnipeg - Scheifele, Laine).
STAT OF THE WEEK II:After putting up 32 points (10 goals and 22 assists) in the first 41 games of the season, Brad Marchand has notched 17 points (11 goals and six assists) in the first 11 games of the second half of the season.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:"It's huge. All you need is a goal to kind of get you going again. You know he's been such a big part of our team this year; he is scoring a ton of goals and playing some really good hockey. So seeing him get that is great and, you know I'm sure they are going to continue go in for him now." Brad Marchand on David Pastrnak's overtime, game-winning goal on Tuesday, breaking a 17-game goalless streak…
TWEET OF THE WEEK (WEEK 20):@TomCaron (Tom Caron, NESN.com): "Bruins' moms made pasta w/ their sons on this trip. [David] Pastrnak scores in OT. Coincidence? I think not. Massive point for B's."
