Bruins sign pair of 2010 second-round picks @NHL
The Boston Bruins signed both of their second-round picks in the 2010 Entry Draft, forwards Jared Knight and Ryan Spooner, to entry-level contracts.

Knight had 25 goals and 70 points in 68 games for the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League last season. He also played three games for the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League and had two assists.

Spooner collected 35 goals 81 points in 64 OHL games split between the Peterborough Petes and Kingston Frontenacs. He also appeared in three games for Providence and had 2 goals and an assist.

Both players will turn 20 years old in January, and are slated to spend another season in the OHL if they don’t make Boston roster during training camp.

Knight was the 32nd choice in the 2010 draft. It was one of the picks Boston received from the Toronto Maple Leafs in the trade for Phil Kessel, along with the No. 2 pick that year (Tyler Seguin) and a first-round selection in the 2011 Entry Draft (Dougie Hamilton at No. 9). Spooner was the 45th pick.

Boston also announced the signing of forward Stefan Chaput to a one-year contract. Chaput, 23, had 6 goals and 18 points in 62 games split between three AHL teams.
