The Boston Bruins on Tuesday signed defenseman Kevan Miller to a four-year contract and forward Seth Griffith to a one-year, two-way contract.
Miller's contract runs through the 2019-20 season at an NHL salary-cap figure of $2.5 million per year. Griffith's contract runs through 2016-17 at an NHL salary-cap figure of $625,000 per year.
Miller could have become an unrestricted free agent July 1.
In 71 games this season, Miller, 28, had five goals, 18 points and a plus-15 rating that led Bruins defensemen. He averaged 19:03 of ice time per game.
In parts of three seasons with the Bruins, Miller has 31 points (eight goals, 23 assists) in 159 games.
Griffith, 23, had one assist in four games with Boston this season. He played in 57 games for Providence of the American Hockey League, where he finished first in assists (53) and second in points (77).
