Boston Bruins forward Ryan Spooner will be out 4-6 weeks after sustaining a groin injury against the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday.

Spooner sustained a right groin adductor tear in the 3-1 loss. He missed six games in the prior two seasons.

The 25-year-old center has one assist in five games this season. He ranks second among Bruins forwards in power-play ice time per game (3:42), behind David Pastrnak (3:55).

Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask had to be helped off the ice after rookie forward Anders Bjork collided with him during practice Wednesday.

There was no update on Rask's condition.

Boston hosts the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday (7 p.m. ET; TVA Sports, SN360, NESN, NHL.TV).
