BOSTON -- Boston Bruins center David Krejci was a late scratch from the lineup Saturday against the Ottawa Senators at TD Garden.
Krejci took the pregame warmup and centered a line with Milan Lucic and Seth Griffith. But when the lineup sheet was issued, Krejci was listed as a scratch, and forward Matt Fraser had been inserted in the lineup.
Coach Claude Julien said both after practice Friday and before the game Saturday that Krejci would be able to play against the Senators. The 28-year-old missed practice Friday; no reason was given for his absence.
Krejci, who missed the first three games of the regular season with an undisclosed injury, leads the Bruins with nine points.
