Boston Bruins forwards Milan Lucic and Chris Kelly are recovering after recent surgeries, Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli said Friday.
Lucic had surgery on his left wrist while Kelly had a procedure to repair a herniated disc in his back. Chiarelli said both players are expected to be ready for the start of training camp.
Lucic had four goals and three assists in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games but was held to one goal and two assists in the Bruins' seven-game loss to the Montreal Canadiens in the Eastern Conference Second Round. He didn't have a point in the final four games of the series.
Kelly last played April 8 against the Minnesota Wild. He had nine goals and nine assists in 57 regular-season games.
