BOSTON (AP) - After going at least a week without a game, the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning are ready for their Eastern Conference final.
The best-of-seven series starts Saturday night in Boston where the Bruins have a 23-4-6 record against the Lightning. Boston will have had seven days without a game since sweeping the Philadelphia Flyers. Tampa Bay's layoff will be nine days since it swept the Washington Capitals.
Boston's major challenge is dealing with Tampa Bay's three high-scoring forwards and unusual defensive alignment.
The Lightning must find a way to score against goalie Tim Thomas and a solid defense, a combination that gave up just seven goals in four games in their most recent series.
