BOSTON (AP) - Center David Krejci, the leading scorer in the playoffs last season as the Bruins won the Stanley Cup, signed a three-year contract extension with the club on Thursday.
Krejci, 25, who had 12 goals and 23 points in the Bruins' 25 postseason games, was Boston's second-round choice in 2004.
A 6-foot, 188-pound native of Sternberk, Czech Republic, Krejci has four goals and 13 points in 20 games this season, as Boston has recovered from a slow start to lead the Northeast Division. He had three points in a 6-3 win over Toronto on Wednesday.
For his career, Krejci has played in 318 games, with 62 goals and 227 points.
