The Boston Bruins
begin the final stretch run to try to secure a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs by paying a visit to the Washington Capitals
as part of a three-game Monday schedule.
In a 7 p.m. ET game that will be televised nationally by Versus in the U.S. and TSN and RDS in Canada, the Bruins will try to beat the team with the most points in the League for the first time this season. They start Monday tied with the Flyers for seventh in the Eastern Conference, two points ahead of the ninth-place Rangers.
The St. Louis Blues
remain alive in the Western Conference and need to get two points out of their 8 p.m. matchup with the Columbus Blue Jackets
. They will be trying to improve upon a 16-18-5 record at the Scottrade Center that is a major reason why they are currently on the outside of the playoff picture.
In the final game of the night, the Minnesota Wild
travel to face the Edmonton Oilers
at 10 p.m.
