BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeneyannounced today, March 20, that the team has assigned Anton Blidh to Providence and recalled forwards Jordan Szwarz and defenseman Paul Postma from Providence on an emergency basis.
Szwarz, 26, has three assists in 10 games with Boston in 2017-18. He has also recorded 19 goals (2nd on team) and 25 assists (3rd on team) for 44 points (3rd on team) with a team-high plus-29 rating in 46 games with Providence this season. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Burlington, Ontario native has appeared in 45 career NHL games, totaling four goals and three assists for seven points with 21 penalty minutes.

Postma has produced one assist in 12 games with Boston, and six assists in six games with Providence this season. He appeared in 65 games with the Winnipeg Jets in 2016-17, recording one goal and 13 assists for a career-high 14 points with 15 penalty minutes and a plus-three rating.
Over his nine-year professional career, the 29-year-old defenseman has appeared in 203 NHL games, tallying 10 goals and 25 assists for 35 points. He has also skated in 232 career AHL games, recording 49 goals and 102 assists for 151 points. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound defenseman was selected to play in the AHL All-Star Game in 2010-11 and 2011-12, and was also named to the AHL First All-Star Team following the 2011-12 season.
